About Hell Mode

Based on the light novel series by Hamuo (writer) and Mo (illustrator), Hell Mode follows a hardcore gamer who is reincarnated in another world with absurdly overpowered settings and uses his gaming knowledge and persistence to dominate. The series began on Shousetsuka ni Narou in November 2019, with print publication by Earth Star Entertainment since July 2020. A manga adaptation by Tetta began serialization in Comic Earth Star in October 2020.

Community Reception

The announcement was met with solid enthusiasm from the isekai community on MyAnimeList, where Hell Mode ranks among the notable upcoming Summer 2026 titles. The first season built a dedicated following on HIDIVE, and fans are particularly excited about the new Academy arc, which the PV teases with expanded animation and new character introductions. The addition of veteran voice actors like Shinichirō Miki and Takahiro Sakurai to the cast has generated positive buzz.

What This Means

Hell Mode Season 2 arrives at the height of Summer 2026 — one of the most stacked anime seasons in recent memory. The series carved out a loyal niche during its first season, and a July 3 premiere positions it to capture early summer audiences before the heavier hitters arrive. With HIDIVE continuing to stream the series internationally, English-speaking fans will have simultaneous access to both subbed and dubbed versions.
