The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of Takeru Hokazono's Kagurabachi manga will launch a global "world tour" this summer, giving fans an early look at the first 20 minutes of the premiere episode at major conventions, Shochiku announced on Wednesday.
The world tour kicks off in July 2026 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, Japan Expo Paris in Paris, and AnimagiC in Mannheim, Germany, before heading to Anime NYC in August. The tour will conclude in Japan in spring 2027 with a screening of the full first episode. The anime itself is set to debut in April 2027.
Select events will also host panels featuring lead voice actor Taihi Kimura (Chihiro Rokuhira), manga editor Takurō Imamura, cross-media producer Riki Azuma, and producer Kōichi Yasuda.
Staff and Production Details
Tetsuya Takeuchi (From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! director; key animator for Naruto and Naruto Shippūden) is directing the anime at Cypic (The World Is Dancing). Keigo Sasaki (character designer for Blue Exorcist, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) is designing the characters.
About the Manga
Hokazono debuted the Kagurabachi manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. The series has become a massive hit, with 4 million copies in circulation as of May 2025. The 11th compiled volume shipped in Japan on May 1, 2026.
