A Legacy of Innovation

HOTEI, born February 1962, debuted in 1982 as the guitarist of BOØWY and launched his solo career in 1988. He is internationally renowned for his composition "BATTLE WITHOUT HONOR OR HUMANITY", featured in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. In 2006, he released "SOUL SESSIONS" featuring collaborations with international artists and performed at Nippon Budokan with Char and Brian Setzer. Since moving to London in 2012, HOTEI has maintained a global presence while remaining one of Japan's most iconic rock artists.

Earlier in 2026, HOTEI hosted his first self-produced festival "HOTEI FES" featuring Momoiro Clover Z, Aina The End, 10-FEET, MAN WITH A MISSION, BUCK-TICK, and THE YELLOW MONKEY — drawing over 1,600 reactions on Natalie for that announcement alone.
