Legendary Japanese idol duo Pink Lady (Mii and Keiko Masuda) have announced a major 50th anniversary tribute project titled 「デビュー50周年トリビュート・プロジェクト ピンク・レディー伝説 今も そして永遠に… Legend, Now and Forever」. A tribute concert will be held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall) in Tokyo on August 25, 2026, followed by the release of a tribute album on August 26.

Pink Lady, formed by lyricist Yu Aku and composer Toshikuni Tsuchiya, captivated Japan in the late 1970s with a string of massive hits including 「Pepper Keibu」, 「S.O.S.」, 「UFO」, and 「Monster」. Their daring choreography and high-energy performances reshaped Japanese idol culture, inspiring generations of artists to follow.

Tribute Concert Lineup

The first wave of artists announced for the tribute concert is a cross-generational powerhouse: AKASAKI, AKB48 members Arayama Sae and Ito Momoka, Suzuki Airi, Tamura Megumi, Hitoto Yo, Momoiro Clover Z member Momota Kanako, Moritaka Chisato & LINDBERG singer Watase Maki, and Shin-Koizumix Productions (featuring Koizumi Kyoko, Takagi Kan, and Ueda Kenji). MC duties will be handled by Fujii Takashi. More participants are expected.

〜17 years old when we passed the audition for ‘Star Tanjo!’ The lyricist Yu Aku-sensei said ‘We have to do something with these kids…’ and composer Toshikuni Tsuchiya-sensei gave us their golden combination. Countless miraculous encounters — gratitude isn’t enough.” — Mii (Pink Lady)
“50 years — half a century! When we debuted, Yu Aku-sensei described our world as ‘a toy box turned upside down.’ But now, after 50 years, it’s not a toy box — it’s a jewel box! The songs and choreography of Pink Lady haven’t faded one bit.” — Keiko Masuda (Pink Lady)

Album Details

The tribute album features contributions from all concert participants plus Shin-Koizumix Productions. The album will be available first as a pre-sale at the concert venue on August 25, with wider release on August 26.
