The third edition of the international music co-writing camp SONG BRIDGE 2026 will take place from June 9 to 11 in Tokyo's Shibuya and Aoyama districts, bringing together approximately 40 creators and artists from Japan and around the world. The project is organized as part of the MUSIC WAY PROJECT, a collaborative initiative between CEIPA (the Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association) and the TOYOTA GROUP.

A key feature of this year's camp is the focus on Southeast Asia — the fastest-growing music market globally. Top artists from the region will join the sessions, including Philippine band Cup of Joe (nominated for Best Asia Song at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026), Indonesia's leading rock artist HINDIA, Thai hip-hop pioneer SARAN, Singapore's next-generation singer Shye, and globally active US-based R&B artist UMI.

From Japan, the lineup includes veteran singer-songwriter Sogabe Keiichi (曽我部恵一), genre-blending rapper (sic)boy, EXILE TRIBE dance-vocal group PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE, singer-songwriter Yoshika (由薫), and Shimizu Mie (清水美依紗).

Global Creator Roster

The production side draws an equally impressive international lineup. Japanese creators include her0ism, knoak, ESME MORI, Kanata Okajima, Rin (of Billyrrom/aint lindy), BBY NABE, and Lil'Yukichi, among others. International producers and songwriters span Colombia (Alenoise), Brazil (Marcello Jonno), the UK (Neil Ormandy), Korea (ELUM, DON from D&H), Australia (Taka Perry), France (Yael Naim), the US (Seann Bowe), and Indonesia (Chika Olivia).

The camp will operate across eight studios in the Shibuya and Aoyama areas, hosting intensive three-day sessions where creators from different countries and genres collaborate on new music. The concept of "co-writing" — where multiple creators bring diverse perspectives to jointly produce songs — has become a cornerstone of global hit-making and this camp positions Japanese artists at the center of that process.

Industry Context

The MUSIC WAY PROJECT aims to support the globalization and sustainable growth of Japan's music industry. This year's SONG BRIDGE camp coincides with the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 ceremony on June 13, where Cup of Joe is nominated, creating a week of heightened international music industry activity in Tokyo.

Updates and behind-the-scenes content from the camp will be shared on SONG BRIDGE's official social media accounts and Toyota Group channels.
